Housing Action Illinois is a statewide coalition formed to protect and expand the availability of quality, affordable housing throughout Illinois. “We are working to create an Illinois where everyone has a good, stable home,” the HAI website explains.

According to HousingActionIl.org, more than 160 housing counseling agencies, homeless service providers, developers of affordable housing, and policymakers help empower communities to thrive through capacity building, education and organizing, and policy advocacy. HAI’s strategic plan is built on four pillars:  Educate, Advocate, Strengthen, Sustain.
